About Just back from a week's holiday in Northumberland, England and this is the first shot out of the bag. I'd nearly given up with the light on this particular evening and then the sun popped out from under the clouds. I asked my wife to hold the dinner, jumped in the car and sped off to cover the 2.5 miles to Bamburgh as quickly as possible. I immediately got stuck behind an old boy doing 30 mph and so when I reached the beach I ran and stumbled over the dunes and got the camera and tripod set up just in time. This was my first shot. The others though more 'arty' with foreground interest somehow detracted from the beauty of the castle and sky in the perfect light.

Hi Barry. I love this photo!~ The only change I would make would be to cut out some of the darker foreground to attain a more panoramic scene.Just a thought. The way the castle is lit is great and the colors are really good! My best,JOHN
