Hi Emgy, I've been looking foreward to the third one! I find it the most well balanced of them all. Great lighting, creating the diagonal as well as the tensions by its shadows and the warm colours are fabulous.

The texture of a raincoat does not quite match the fabric as I remember it, and it could've been a wrinkled piece of paper, but that doesn't change the superbly high quality of this shot.

Very creative, my compliments!

Cheers,

Hugo

Lori Stitt   {K:74434} 4/17/2004
Hi Emgy,

What a great abstract this is! Love the colors in this image, and the composition also is nice!
I especially like all the different shades there are in this photograph!

Nice work,
Lori

Elena Zabelina   {K:23212} 4/17/2004
Hi Emgy, what a wonderful abstract! Beautiful colors combination. Very-very nice...
Warm regards, my friend.
Lena

Amna Al Shamsi   {K:20764} 4/17/2004
Excellent , it looks like a natural view in a desert with its dune and the different shades and lighting resulted from the hot sun! Very creative and well seen Emgy!

Teunis Haveman   {K:52401} 4/17/2004
Groet Teunis

NN     {K:26787} 4/17/2004

John Hatziemmanouil   {K:40580} 4/17/2004

Best regards!

Robert Currie   {K:3241} 4/17/2004
Hi Emgy, I knew when we didn't hear from you for a while, that you were working on something good. Having spent some months in the Namib desert, I agree with Amna that it resembles dunes. I suppose there are lots of interpretations depending on personal memories. Super shot!

luisa vassallo   {K:28144} 4/17/2004

Bulent Ahiskal   {K:1251} 4/17/2004

A still?Volcano?Life?
That flickered in the night?
When it was dark enough to do
Without erasing sight?

A quiet?Earthquake Style?
Too subtle to suspect
By natures this side Naples?
The North cannot detect

The Solemn?Torrid?Symbol?
The lips that never lie?
Whose hissing Corals part?and shut?
And Cities?ooze away?

...Emily Dickinson

This vocano come up in your garden and you climbed down inside to take the picture? :) Don?t breath deeply...the old Greeks say that breathing it?s vapors will give you an incurable madness.

:):)

Thank you all, my friends
Your comments make me very happy and I really appreciate you taking the time to see my work and write what you think. I haven't had much time to dedicate to UF lately and to follow all your beautiful work but hopefully I will make up for it soon. I just needed to let you know that time and time again I'm deeply moved by your interest im my work and that you're always in my mind even when I cannot dedicate as much time to you as I would love to.
Your work, however different from each other and from mine has always been and will continue to be my greatest source of inspiration. Thank you all!
Emgy

Thanks, Emgy. I know what people see when they talk "desert" here, but I get the sense of a descent.....as if one is climbing down into the devil's throat, ledge by ledge. Must be just me...again.:)

Jorge Vasconcelos   {K:33746} 4/18/2004
Perfect picture wit a modicum of means.Excellent result.
This Art, my dear.
Regards
jorge

Emgy Massidda   {K:60169} 4/18/2004
No, John, it's not just you again!
The moment I saw this shot and the way the light shone on the folds, I thought of rotating the image of 180 degrees cause I saw in it exactly what you saw: something that gave me a sense of descent, like tumbling down into a mysterious and sinister space. To be honest, the idea of the devil's throat never crossed my mind. I thought of this more or less as a passage down onto the surfice of an always burning space. The idea of a desert never crossed my mind either, not in this one, nor in Folded Secret 1 which, according to many, also resembles a desert.
So, you were pretty close! Some minds can have similar thoughts more or less frequently, isn't it amazing?

Antonella Nistri   {K:21867} 4/18/2004
Marvelous texture and lights, sensual looking,if I might say so,a magnificent work, many congrats dear! Antonella

Groeten Tim.

Emanuele Calvagno   {K:14350} 4/18/2004
Complimenti..

Marvelous capture, color and lighting!!!

Dear Emgy, I am glad you finally got your 300D. It is much different indeed compared with your old camera. My camera finally came back from 2nd repair, but I have not been able to capture shots as used to be. I have been so burried with work. But, I am trying to come back soon.

Emgy Massidda   {K:60169} 4/23/2004
Hi Khoi

Look forward to seeing some of your new work. Meanwhile, take care and don't work too hard
Hugs - Emgy

Massimo Di Maggio   {K:-56794} 4/23/2004

Emgy Massidda   {K:60169} 4/27/2004

you really have a nice portfolio. Read your lines about the bad equipment... hey, if that's what you produce with BAD equipment, how gigantic will be the ones with GOOD one? =) Anyway, very creative setup. very different styles, great variety. simple awesome.

The small series with macro captures are wonderful. love the colors and the soft self shadows here. you gave me a lot of inspiration for my next projects. and: thanks for your kind words!

Alison Du Flon   {K:35642} 12/15/2004
Beautifully done, great light color and beautiful lines through out the material. At first I thought they were sand dunes. Alison

Jorg Reif   {K:16020} 12/27/2004
Well, I am a little hesitant Emgy, to give my two cents worth - or was it only one? - to a picture with 97 comments and 70 ratings. But this one is pure de-"light", perfect use of our medium to transform something very simple and "everyday" into art and and something that makes one stop and ponder. Best regards and Hapyy 2005, Joerg

James Philip Pegg   {K:10138} 4/4/2005
