Hi Peter, I think I like the one with the slight texture in the background better. It looks more natural and less fabricated, if you know what I mean. Good editing job, though. The shape of the chesnut leaf and bud is beautiful. Good capture, but I'd go for the previous version.

Thanks for your very valuable comment, Hugo! Me too, I do prefere the smoother one (Chesnut photos). This latter was only an experiment: how far can I go with PS.
