About Found this rusting rake not far from the red barn (previous post) in SLO County, central California. I liked the contrast of the rust with the somewhat green background. Soon the green will be gone and this rake will be put to work again.

Very nicely done, Robert! I really like the repeating pattern of the rusted tines, and the way their points loom back down menacingly from the top of the image. The strong, low sun makes for great dramatic lighting that adds to the mood. Not sure if the slight 'posterizing' of the colors in the upper part of the background and on the curved part with the rivets was intentional, but in my opinion it detract a bit from the image. Overall, this is a really cool shot!

Looks like the hay rake that I have at home although mine is not rusted like this one. Great detail and color. Don.
