beautiful, contrasty b/w. agree with you on the horizon: i wd have normally opted for a more shallow dof, but the misty atmosphere required such a small aperture - otherwise any detail in the background wd have been unfortunately lost. well done

An interesting B&W conversion or otherwise on the shores of some of the 'Saltiest' inland water in the world and that is why this body of water is called the Salton Sea just before you get to Chocolate Mountains in Southern California about an hour's drive southeast of Palm Springs ... Yes?
Perhaps cropped just a bit too tight but I appreciate your attention to details utilizing a square format especially in this very isolated area where I used to go to the 'Fountain of Youth Spa'.
What shore is this on by the way ... East? West? and how far down?

This is Bombay Beach on the east shore about halfway down the sea. It's about 20 miles north of Niland.
