i LOVE the title, (haha, i see the "golden" arches in the street. Oops, did i give the clue away?), i lOVE the composition, i.e. the inverted "T" shape. Really, the composition is so amazing here. i love the little huddle of people in all that space with the one man dead center, and i like the trash basket slightly to the left of them to put a little quirk into the symmetry. i like the tones, i LOVE the reflection and detail in the sidewalk and street. What is distracting me a lot is the height of the tall, very bright window which is essentially empty space. If there was some detail there (which i understand was difficult with the lighting) then it would be interesting space but what's happening in this image is happening from the foreground to the middle. Speaking strictly for me, i would have backed up slightly and gotton a little lower so i captured more of the street and positioned the cluster of people and the bright light closer to the top of the frame. i don't know a lot about this stuff but seems to me the camera would have had an easier time metering for the darkness outside without so much of that window in the frame. One more thing, if you hand-held this with that slow metering, you must have the steadiness of a stone statue. WOW! Best regards from Costa Rica, kat~

Hi Diego, This photo looks very familiar.... Is it a repost? The title is excellent, but I think the hint at the golden arches removes some of the scerenety and moodiness of the photo. The light effects and the centered composition (vertically) is excellent, but I feel something's missing. Maybe because (most) of the people have turned their back on you? Still a good shot, I like the "sanctuary of light", an escape from the grey world around us. Very good capture!

Cheers,

Hugo
