Very moody desolate landscape with the forlorn tree taking center stage. Great shadows and grainy texture. Nice work.

Gayle's Eclectic Photos   {K:91033} 5/6/2004
Hi there, the filter gave nice contrast to the clouds...this has such an old west feel/look which i love and saw in tiny western towns outside of santa fe,new mex. which basically looked sepia in real life!...very well composed and like the overall grain...(you cracked me up about your scanner comment (fanning self)and BTW, the mystery scanned pic is of a flat see thru zip lock bag and that is the end which caught light which gives it some dimension)...gayle

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 5/12/2004
powerful shot, rebecca. I love the horizontal split and detail. the grain adds some sentiment to the image. would love to see the tree more on the right. cheers, thilo

I like this one, how the bare little tree becomes center stage, to a complex and dramatic surrounding.

Paul Sanders   {K:744} 7/22/2004
I don't how to describe this photo. I really love the stark quality to it. It is interesting that the sky is not really dark but you can still see all the clouds. Excellent.
