This is a personal preference, but I find the buildings and people distracting. I would suggest cropping off the top part just below the figures. To me, this makes an already very powerful image even more so.

Featured Critique Unbelievable! I love this picture. The tones are amazing and the definition in the surf is almost surreal. It is a gorgeous all-round picture. The only suggestion I would have is to see if you could re-take the shot without people in the view. I realize how difficult it would be to recapture the exact same feeling or mood, but it may be worth the effort to try. I would say to crop also, but you wouldn't want to loose the horizon so possibly crop off to the side vertical, that may work. Again, great picture!

I find this shot distracting - the factors that detract from the fine sea and tones are
- people and buildings are ditracting - the blocks at the back of the beach look like they are concrete dumped there - the horizon is not level - the sky in the top RHS is grainy and overexposed
These are personal observations - otherwise I like where you are coming from!

Nice photo. I think the people and the buildings are necessary to the picture as the add a sense of scale. I aggree with one commentator that the horizon should be flat. Cheers,
David

José Luis, a veces no tengo demasiado tiempo para ver fotos...pero cuando vi ésta quedé impactado. Es realmente muy buena. Y a pesar de ciertas opiniones me parece una excelente composición. Te felicito. Un abrazo, Hugo.

Great Work, Jose. Beautiful print tones and a wonderful sense of scale and movement. I like the distant figures and buildings... I would not crop it at all... Thanks!

Hello again Jose. I had really enjoyed this photo before, but I did not comment because so many others did before me. It is very good, I like the way composition leads my eye through the image to the buildings in the distance. Congratulations, it is also very good to meet some else who enjoys using Ilford FP5+ !!! (Your English is fine - much better than my Argentinian). regards John.

Hi Jose, thanks for visiting my portfolio. We seem to share a love of b+w. Excellent portfolio, I like this shot the best. Love the way the surf draws you to the top right corner and the buildings.
