Hi Carmen, very romantic sunset against the islands in the ocean. I love the tones in the sky and the slight diffence in contrast between the rocks and the background, preventing them to blend into eachother. (that happens with a couple of rocks in the foreground, though, so the contrast might have been a tad stronger)
Although the calm, relaxing and tranquil atmosphere are definately present, I feel this shot misses something to pull it out of the ordinary. Have not quite figured out what that something should be, though. A couple of palmtrees to "frame" the shot would make it too corny, and a boat would probably be too small to make any impact. Very good shot, though, and a lovely scene.

Hugo, I agree with your observations about this work.
First: I?ve just decided to buy a new monitor today. You can?t imagine how colors in my home PC seems to be different than when I see here in my work monitors. It?s nosense try editing digital photos in those conditions I have today. Everything you ?ve said about contrasts and tones, in this picture and yesterday?s, are correct, I can see it now, view in another monitor.
Second: yes, it is a regular scene, with no interest point. I?ve uploaded it only to illustrate moody project..and I think it fits it.

Carmem, isto não é uma foto, vc deve estar enganada, isto é sim um quadro! pintado a oleo e que vale muito dinheiro inclusive! eheheheh! Bem.... olhando esta foto, me veio a pergunta... vc fez esta foto em qtos megapixel? seria 3? Se fosse vc, eu pegava esta foto, levava para uma loja de fotografia e imprimia na maior e melhor qualidade possível, dpois colocava uma moldura e pendurava na sala! Esta foto merece! Esta foto só não merece uma nota menos de 7 (nesta escala da UF, claro).

Sim, Claudio, a tal compensação de exposição... mas quem escolhe a velocidade é ela.... dependendo a exposição que escolhi..e a luz que ela mede.
É por isso que tenho fotos sem tripé com 1/4s...rs..se eu soubesse, não conseguiria... veja minha cachoeira e meu caramujo...
