Per me la risposta al titolo, è no. Ma a volte è necessario. Diavolo di Aira Manna.

no time for keeping distance, so many lifes behind all those names, luck - sorrow, poor - rich, satisfied - unsatisfied, alone - newly wed!

thanks for showing...

Cheers,
Verena

Beautiful capture, Aira. I love the composition of this shot. The out-of-focus man on the left is perfect. On my monitor it appears a tad dark and a bit low contrasty (no pure white tones), but that may just be my monitor.

Randy Stokes   {K:1468} 4/30/2004
Very nicely done. I guess I would have composed a wee bit more left, but what do I know.

WALT MESK   {K:10731} 5/1/2004

As one of the labels for the buttons says:

BRAVO

I truly envy you for envisioning this, then executing it so technically spot-on, as far as aperture and focus goes. And timing. The image transports me right to the building entrance, and I find myself asking: whom shall I buzz?

With the not inconsiderable benefit of hindsight, like Randy Stokes I would also have composed a bi more to the left, cutting out the really dark corner of wall.

Also, like David Cunningham, I notice maybe you can do something about contrast and brightness.

But those are just presentational details. You can crop, you can PS (if you want to).

The ability to foresee and create the image: that's priceless.

Again, BRAVO.

Ciao...ho sfogliato un po' le tue foto...bravissima...ho scelto questa per dirti: "Complimenti". Magnifica la silouette dell'uomo in fondo e grande idea questa di fotografare a volte il nulla insignificante e dargli un gran taglio!
Ciao
Alex

Excellent shot and beautiful use of subtle context (and the dark extreme right is a wonderful detail!).

kike Calvo   {K:11291} 7/6/2005
Me encanta la idea de incluir una silueta humana al fondo. De ser una foto corriente, la convirtes en una gran foto.
Un gran saludo Aira. Espero tus nuevos trabajos.
Kike
