Hi Carmen, amazing green tones in the water. Almost a monochtomatic photo! I like the reflection of the papyrus in the water alot. Same with the bright streak of light in the ripples in the water. They make the composition. The brown leaves are the finishing touch, though. Very well captured, a very intiguing shot!

Que foto legal Carmem! Adorei! Aquela folhinha seca embaixo da vassoura deu um contraste ótimo (foi o toque especial)! Os tons de verde estão muito bons e a textura da água abaixo do reflexo está fantástico! Mas como eu sou "abelhudo", no seu lugar, eu daria um pequeno toque nesta imagem, um toque que pudesse passar ousadia também, acho que ficaria legal. Eu mesclaria o galho da vassoura com a moldura, acho que ficaria interessante! Veja o exemplo abaixo!

Legal a sugestão, embora eu pessoalmente não goste, meste tipo de moldura que construo no Paint shop, talvez em outro tipo.

What a beautiful cooling effect of that green!!
Nicely composed with the branch hanging from the top left of the image! The reflection and shadow looks cool too and the floating leaves add a bit more interest!

In the northern hemispere on can only grow papyrus outdoors in the summer, needing to bring them and well watered in the dry heated indoors... I was actually looking at mine earlier today... wondering whether there would be any risk of frost... but they will stay in... for a while...
I am unsure about the water tone... as it is not a stream that is too welcoming for a swim... but it compliments the essential capture sooo well!
The claimed PS shardowing is indeed impressive!

Just wanted to tell you, Carmem, how encouraged I am when you comment on my photos. Often you comment on one that is not very "popular" on Usefilm but which has a special place in my heart. I've taken time today to browse your portfolio, and found--as before--much to enjoy. This vivid green picture struck my eye. I am so glad you said it was the true colour, not boosted artificially. It is an amazing colour, isn't it! And such an attractive image...
