About We had been walking on the fells in rain for most of the afternoon when this sunbeam burst through to illuminate the farm buildings in valley below. It was a magical and fleeting experience and I had little time to prepare for the shot as I struggled to take out my camera in the rain that was still falling on us!

Excellent Barry. Great B&W. Sun beam is exceptional, and to sacrifice your camera in rain is so giving...To us to see the shot.
Love it...

Wonderful light, well captured. The b/W really adds to the atmosphere, though the sunlight is a little over blown.

I don't know how many times I've looked out the car window and saw a sight similar to this, and wished I had a camera with me. This photograph is like something out of a Steinbeck novel's descriptions of Salinas or Napa Valley. I had a chance to quickly look over your portolio here at UF, and I have to say, your compositional style is very much to my liking.
