About I like to think of the signmaker explaining this tree growing out of the side of his house. "Well, y'see, it all started as a potted plant, and then things got a bit out of hand, and before we knew it, it was too much trouble to cut it down..." [grin]

That's not kermit the frog, by the way, hiding under the tree. It's a plastic model hamburger ad. (No, don't ask me why!)

Craig, if you're ever in the Tokyo area I'll be pleased to take you there. It's the most photographed place along my early morning dog walk! As well as making signs and name plates for houses, he also paints Ukiyoe and makes them into little plates complete with display stands... great mementoes of Japan for the occasional visitor!
