Dear Rebecca, beautiful picture of the man and the charming little dog!! is Putz the man??? also what happened to your Nikon?? why did it die such such an untimely death?? I am very close to getting a new Nikon D70.. maybe A DSLR like that would be good for you too?... very nice picture....jon

Yes, Putz aka John, is the man..Patrick the pooch. I adopted him 4 years ago ( on St Patrick's day, thus the name) from the pound. He's as spoiled as any child! I'm not sure what happened with the old coolpix..the lens broke off the inside..the gears are grinding..WAAAAAA I loved that old camera. I'm not sure when and what I'll get next..They're getting cheaper by the day. I love to try my old film cameras, but a digital sure is nice also.

Hi Rebecca. I like to give photographic criticism, but don't know too much about portraiture. The balance in the composition of this pic with the strong diagonal from the tree is quite appealing. They don't look too happy though.
