What about the portrait... I like the fact that eyes are in focus. The natural pose is nice. Well played with DOF. And natural light really adds a lot to the picture.

I like very much this portrait. A very inspired shooting angle, a very good control of the depth of field which puts in value the face. Very good and balanced framing. Good old Zenit E still does his job. I still own one too :)

Gertrud, this is very good, the perspective and the focus on the eyes as they look out at who knows what, it's almost as if she is emerging from water. I am so pleased to see this is from the Zenit with a Helios and standard film. These days it seems spending thousands on digital SLRs and an array of lenses is needed to be taken seriously, you work prove that's so much bunkum at least in this genre.
You've inspired me to get my old Zenit E out with its Helios and Pentacon lenses and try it again. Ian
