About This macro of joe-pye weed was shot to show the motion of these TINY flowers in the breeze. I reversed a 28 mm lens which produces a very shallow DOF. Thus only a portion of the flowers will be in focus for a fraction of a second during exposure.

Wonderful and interesting type of capture! Beautiful colors! I've never seen these flowers. I'll have to look them up and see if they're over here too!

Good Morning Bill
Not only have you captured a very different kind of flower (weed, as you call it, I think it is pretty), but the way you have "played" with the focus is eye-catching, and of course, expertly done.
This is a great image and going into my favs - so that one day, when I have much more experience, I could try my hand at something so difficult.
Regards, Linn
PS : I no longer give ratings as I am totally disillusioned by how top images could have such low ratings :-(

Your photos do not open, Mr Morgenstern, so I cannot comment on them. They do, however, allow me to thank you for your comment on my "Hibiscus, detail IV" which did not open either. As to my comment on your "Beneath my feet, I really believe it deserved every word I wrote and you are more than welcome.
Regards,
Rafi Springmann
