About The white marbles are frosted glass marbles. The stripes in the clear red marbles comes from a striped piece of fabric that was underneath the marbles...which were in a glass container...underlit.

Hi Barry
Good to see you back with your usual work.
This is a great composition.
Using a piece of fabric to create the stripesin the red marbles was an ingenious idea.
Nice and clear shot
Fantastic and original abstract

There's always one in a crowd . . . or, in this case, six! Imaginative and striking.

Hi, Barry! It's been a century i think since i've seen your work..so glad to reunite..you and Stefan Engstrom with your wonderfully scientific minds and experiments..and imaginative approach to shooting! This is so beautiful..the white marbles so soft and caressing practically in such soft light, comforting in their quiet repetition, and then those red rebels, so strident and urgent one just blinks at them, unable to walk away. This must be how subliminal marketing works..if those marbels were orange juice, i'd have to buy it :)) Excellent...truly! kat~

Very cool composition Barry. Extremely clever set-up. Nice lighting. Did you try any shots with a bit more shadow contrast? That might be interesting as well.
