About I took this photo on Easter Sunday and I think it sort of captures the different meanings of the day. I didn't fool with this too much - just desaturated it a bit. I suppose it could be more colourful and sharp and constrasty, but I kinda like the soft, diffused, ambivalent feel to it. Filter = close up +8

This is a great image. Soft, gentle - I like it a lot. Well done.

The DOF is so delicate and soft here... you've really captured a creative look at this flower. The colours hint of spring and the lines lead me right into the flower.
I wonder about the one stamen (?) close to the bottom of the pic... the one that leaves the frame. I think that it would have been nice to lose it, either tucking it behind the one that it crosses to give more focus and a better leading line to the ones that end in brown, or doing some creative PS work to remove it.
Very delicate and pretty~!

Absolutely beautiful, Becky! I love the soft folds of the flower petals in the background, and the way the color is almost hinted-at rather than stated out loud. The fact that the stamens and anthers are shaded, and it's the brightness of the background that makes them stand out works really well - makes them look all the more delicate!
Kim beat me to the punch about the one rebel shooting out of the frame at the bottom - what she said!
