Hi Chris,
Thanks for your comment. Difficult one. At first I had the impression the photo was slightly tilted too; but measuring it in PS (on the water line) it seems perfectly aligned. The roof has a slight angle with the horizontal, though, but that's the camera angle, not quite perpendicular to the wall, so I decided against trying to level it...

Very well color balance and lighting, the water reflection add the picture more lifely. If I can see the dome, it may looks better ? Anyway, it's a nice shot !

Hi Hugo, beautiful! It must be really difficult to take a photo in this situation. By that i mean - i would be overwhelmed from the experience of seeing all this live, that i probably couldn't concentrate on taking a pic. The memories that i would retain in my head are there to stay and can't be erased like a CF Card or hard disk. These are always the best photos, the ones i take in my head, then everything is correct and i aways give myself a +7, photo of the day etc? OK so it's only in my head :)

To paraphrase A 1001 Arabian Nights to A 1001 Persian Lights? Ha, ha.
This is done very competently, but I am afraid I don't like the range, sharpness and saturation of negative film, especially the higher ASA/ISO varieties. I wonder how this would have turned out if shot on chrome film or straight digital?

Beautiful and romantic place Hugo. The reflections on the water has made this
night-mirror-photo perfect. But I think it?s not sharp enough or is something wrong with my eyes??
I found always the evenings in Esfahan more stunning than day time at the river (Zayande-rood) side. You?ve taken this picture at the best timing. At least in my opinion!

The picture is perfect. Well balanced with nice colors, contrast and sharpness.
I admit I usually don't like frames. IMHO this frame doesn't add anything to this beautiful picture.

My only comment is that you should keep the possibilities of the panorama format in the back of your mind when taking photos and in the front of your mind when cropping them--this could have been a great panorama, and would have had even more impact. I look forward to the third of these.

Deze is toch sterker als de vorige. De slepende strepen licht/water vind ik erg mooi. Je hebt ze een goede plek gegeven in de compositie. Ik denk toch dat een iets lager standpunt veel goed zou doen.

Ha Tim! Goed dat je er weer bent. Goede vakantie gehad? Even een stukje ter info bij deze foto:
Een lager standpunt kan niet; ik heb de camera neergezet op de rand van het water; zo'n 15 cm boven het oppervlak. Dat is ook hoe ik de bewegingsscherpte voorkomen heb...;o) De lens wijst iets omhoog (zoom 105mm), vandaar dat het lijkt dat het standpunt hoger is. Kan je nagaan hoe groot dat plein was....;o)
