Nice snapshot, but I am sure you will nevertheless sell tons of these prints ... right? Nothing like an early retirement ... Yes ... Congrats!

Rob Ernsting   {K:8919} 5/13/2004
Nice subject and composition, isn't f 5,6 a bit too wide for sharpness of the background? Groetjes, Rob.

Paolo De Maio   {K:34166} 5/13/2004
Great night shot Hugo!!

Sunset Man   {K:10213} 5/13/2004
Well ... NOT only what you brought up Mr. Ernsting but also Mr. de Wolf must have used a 'Bullhorn' or something to tell all those people to stand perfectly still for FIVE SECONDS!

Maria José Barres   {K:11276} 5/13/2004
Buena composicion y luces, aunque no tan bonita como la anterior. Saludos.

Teunis Haveman   {K:52398} 5/13/2004
Hallo Hugo, weer zo,n prachtige nachtfoto
Groet Teunis

Another amazing photograph, Hugo!
Great shot: was amazed by colours, ambience, water effects and texture...
Best regards,
Regina

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184670} 5/13/2004
Douglas, you are right about the sutterspeed, it was considerably shorter, something went wrong. And, for obvious reasons, this shot was not made hand held...;o)

Cheers,

Hugo

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184670} 5/13/2004
Ha Rob, Aparently not...;o) It's the same thing that we discussed yesterday; the DOF is amasingly wide at 28mm too... Aperture is accurate, but the 5 seconds shutterspeed was off. It was closer to 1/15's.

Thanks for your reply,

Cheers,

Hugo.

Excellent Hugo

Richard Thornton   {K:26442} 5/13/2004
Another good one. You can almost hear the water sounds. This is tipping slightly to the right.

Carlheinz Bayer   {K:14220} 5/13/2004
Hey Hugo! To give you my thoughts. My first impression was, "WOW, but this with a long exposure!!!". I tell you this is already excellent, but with blury water reflections, blury water fountains and more details on the Mosque I think it would be better. And some blury people wouldn't bother, I'm sure. I guess 30s would be great. Well, as mentioned; my thoughts. Don't get me wrong. This is great, no doubt on that. Cheers! Carlheinz

Ahmet Baki Kocaballi   {K:13627} 5/13/2004
Hi Hugo,

Hugo this is delightful! Wonderful colors and clarity you have captured here! Quality is absolutely OUTSTANDING! I like it a lot.

I like the subtle lighting on the dome, and the fact that only the lower part of it is lit.
Great reflections and oclor!
EXCELLENT...!!

Lori ;)

Hi Hugo
The series of the night ones and the fountain is wonderful
You were good to realize it exceeding the technical difficulties
The no. 3 one has too much leaves in I would high lightly reduce it
But I think that his glamour is unbelievably reproduced in your photograph
I do you the compliments for your excellent work in the site and your precious comments
My friend greetings 7+
Sorri for my bad English

Emgy Massidda   {K:60169} 5/19/2004
Another dreamy nightscape with an excellent atmosphere. Same location as your previous submission but close up to the buildings to show us some beautiful details of their amazing architecture. A well balanced composition with excellent lighting, reflection and texture. The partially illuminated dome, whose top disappears into the darkness, adds a touch of magic and makes the image somewhat mysterious.
Outstandng capture, my friend.
Hugs - Emgy

Willem Pitel   {K:2759} 5/20/2004
This is a great shot Hugo. The reflection of the light in the centre creates the impression of water droplets - or at least, it did for me :-).

Paul's Photos   {K:34954} 5/21/2004

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27348} 5/22/2004
Beautiful composition and wonderfully detailed and intricate shaped architecture. The water is absolutely amazing with the light reflecting. The colours are just lovely. I wish this was not the last in the series as I would love to see a full shot of the globe type structure on top of the building.

Mari Mar   {K:11396} 5/25/2004
Magic night, wonderful!

ken krishnan   {K:19102} 5/26/2004
Hello Hugo, following your Persian nights - Learned a bit about Iran. Very interesting photojournalism you have provided to us.

The images are excellent and thought provoking. The explanation of whats going on at that moment in Iran makes it even more appreciable.

Well done.
Regards,
ken.
