About Soon after passing Mr & Mrs Goose and family, we got to the old turf bridge ~ so called because it's turf-covered as opposed to tarmac. The path we started out on, some mile or so ago, is on the other side of the bridge. I hope you've enjoyed our walk together as much as I have. My best to all?

Wow Chris... such a beautiful reflection of that bridge in the water. The water look so clear.... great lightning. You are very lucky to see these landscapes with your own eyes! Greetings,

Thanks for those words of encouragement Chris. I really don't see how you could want more from a camera, you have mastered this Fuji very well indeed.

Love the way theres just a glimpse of chimney in the background to this

Sure it looks nice. There's a catch, right? Rains most of the time, right? Private property, no trespassing? Harrumpf.

Lovely.

Not a bit of it, Daniel.
The part I'm standing in belongs to the National Trust, who were given the house, garden and parkland by the previous owners ~ a banking family called Hoare. It's therefore open to all Trust members and paying guests. (We're in the former group.)
Beyond the bridge there's a road that runs past the village pub ~ a great place to eat called 'the Spread Eagle' ~ the parish church is next door.
If you live anywhere near it, i recommend a visit!!

Hi Chris, Very nice brightness, and a very well balanced composition. I think one or two people in this scene (not necessarily on the bridge) would liven up the image a bit. But that's a matter of personal taste... Very good shot, and I like the vivid and saturated colours. Interesting narrative, too. Very good shot, my compliments!

Cheers,

Hugo

Delightful, again, Chris. Wish I could take that walk with you "in the flesh." Maybe one day...

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27338} 5/22/2004
Gorgeous. Beautiful serene setting, vivid colours and super reflections. I simply cannot get over the wonderful professional quality of your portfolio. It is delightful to view every photo. Your work is very impressive and many remind me of Thomas Kinkade's paintings with light. Your framing is excellent and compliments the image perfectly.

Kristina Kohut   {K:49990} 5/30/2004
So lovely and warming! Beautiful and so perfectly composed! Everything so beautiful, but my favourite things are that red tree on top left and the "holes" under the bridge!
