This is lovely the way the moon light and lights look on the water... looks like a perfect evening in Louisiana...

Wonderful shot, Paul! Amasing DOF at f2,8..... Very well exposed, the details and colours are fabulous, and the composition is very well balanced, but could, IMO, be slightly better balanced if you'd crop off the strip of rocks below. It would create a wider, and more open compostion. None the less a very good shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

love the reflections on the water. very neat.

Hmmm....I am usually one for cropping top down not bottom up. I like teh rocks at the bottom. Gives the piece a sense of being anchored. And also gives a depth perspective. If you touch this at all, I would vote for lowering the high mast crop a tad and leaving most of the rocks in. JIL
(That just felt weird.....I don't make sense very often. Paul, I am adjusting the web site a touch. Here is the URL http://www.ilstu.edu/~jiloy/page4.htm
I am adding a sample photo for each person. If you would like, will do the same for you. After all,,,,,you ARE my photo mentor and personal Dog....I think I got that right??? If you have a photo you would like posted just let me know which one. If not, may I choose one of my faves? Either way, and even if ya would rather not, just let me know.

This is one of the most beautiful night shots I've ever seen. I'm from Shreveport, and this makes me very homesick for Louisiana :(
Excellent.
