About I find this plant interesting in that the leaves change color from green to red closer to the top, simulating a flower! Shot in my garden ( don't know the scientific name... Alexey, help!! )

Thanks, Teunis! It's a shame we have so many different flowers/plants in the garden at home but I am very bad on remembering names!

Very nice photo. How did you put background. What is this?

Lucas Macedo   {K:12840} 5/19/2004
Thanks, Urungu. The framing/background was done in Photoshop, that is a " Christmas Flower".

Lucas, great image - this would be ideal for a Christmas card. Love the way you framed it too.

Bem feita!

Beautiful colors. With this motive I already think of Christmas.Greeting Gerhard

Nice contrast and co;ouring. Always a hard job to go better than what nature can provide. The imaginative framing also helps this stand out. I did find what appears to be a reflection of the leaf at the bottom of inner frame a bit distracting and would be tempted to remove this and so enhance the 3d popping out effect abit more. Well done

Hi Lucas, nice picture, congratulations! I was seeing your portfolio and I found a lot of beautiful and interesting pictures, like this.
As Alexey and Carmen says, this is a Poinsettia (euphorbia pulcherrima) Thank you for your comments on my "Lysianthus 2".
Best wishes, Felipe.

Thanks, Les. What you saw as a leaf reflection is actually another leaf in a back plane behind the frame! ..... Lucas
