About These stalls are a regular feature of any festival, and the gangsters of Japan, the "yakuza" are reputed to have a stranglehold on the allocation of spaces and the collection of their rake-off... But most people just enjoy the fun. The exposure was a bit difficult to judge.

He is dressed like a Japanese tourist we see overhere. You can see him flashing his mind, this guy with a camera is in front of me shall I go left or right, I go right. He has a good expression of neglecting you. Regards, Rob.

good capture of the scene and moment

Hi Roger - you got a good 'street; scene here. You are really getting better with these. I like the angles of the banners and that green backdrop. As you say the exposure was difficult, I think it might be just a smidge over, but you should be able to sort that in PS.

Regards

Keith

Really good street shot, Roger.
Vibrant colours and a lot of interesting detail to arrest the eye.
Well done.
Kind regards, Chris

Roger, it's good to see more people shots from you. This one and the two ladies have turned out quite nicely I think - it seems your shooting comfort zone has expanded. But what fascinates me most is the rendering of the leaves - the whole green backdrop looks almost hand-drawn.

Thanks, Matej. As you know, it was largely your encouragement that got me out of my people-less rut! Your sharp eye has spotted the oddity of the trees. In fact, as Keith suggested in an earlier comment, the exposure was a bit "over," and I had to do quite a bit of dodge & burn. The result made the backdrop of trees look better but left this slightly unnatural oddity... Keith was kind enough to say that PS would cure the exposure problem, but in fact this picture is already the end result of quite a bit of PSP work!

It's a nice document of japanese culture and I find it perfectly exposed. Lens and film seem to love each other, it looks perfect.

There is a sort of symmetry to this one. There is high information value. A colorful travel shot.

Enjoy    {K:16125} 5/30/2004
this looks very hectic to me.... perhaps so busy I am not sure I could shop there... It is interesting to see how this is done...always a pleasure to see your work.... wise man!!!

Roger Williams   {K:84106} 5/31/2004
Thanks again, Debra. I see you're doing some good work. Wish I could comment more. Maybe in a week or so? PS Some people think I'm more of an old woman than a wise man.. [grin]

My best regards
