About Taken off Okaloosa Island, on the Florida Panhandle, just East of Fort Walton Beach. When the sun sets at your back, it brings out the colors like crazy. People fish off this pier all day long. It was nice to be away from Marylands Cicada infestation for several days.....grim reality when I returned, though....yuk.

Super photo Bradley - I would love to have had some spare time when I am over in just over 3 weeks. But I only really have the Sunday and a few evenings. Hope the cicadas have gone by then lol

I want to be there! This is gorgeous! I love the way you have filled the entire bottom frame with water.... very nice...

If I do greens and browns like no other, then you are definitely the master of sea blues and sunset oranges... :)

love that, stephen. you're right: the colors ARE cracy =) nice frame decision, gives the pier more support. The static horionzal split and the dynamic front with the waves add a lot of tension. cheers, thilo

Hi Brad,

A wonderful composition, and the low sun angle really makes the pier glow beautifully. The water, even the foam and the beach sand, is beautifully colored.

But Brad, you should learn to love our Cicadas! :-)

Best regards,
SteveR

Great shot, Brad. I love the vibrant colors. I guess you're liking this digital thing. Lou

This is absolutely gorgeous Brad. The water is the most beautiful shade of deep turquoise and the golden orange pier just glows against the soft pastel sky. I love the immensity of the ocean and the subtle light play on the shoreline. Fantastic capture. (yeah ok, I tend to careen, I guess, but I am consistently inconsistent :-) )
