About I got up very early, went for a walk with the dog and it was raining. It stopped for about 30secs and these rainbows showed up. I took this out of my car window hence the telegraph pole

very nice capture,
i very like it,
but a different crop might prevent distraction of the pole,
Regards

fantastica foto dai colori supremi..per la composizione avrei preferito eliminare il palo in prima..ma č solo impressione personale..i colori sono fantastici...ciao

Hi Rog, Beautiful lighting, and a perfect capture of the double rainbow. I like the odd twig of ivy crossing the rainbow. I've noticed it before, but do you perhaps know why the sky inside a rainbow is always lighter than outside it?

As for the composition, I think the pole splitting the frame is a bit distracting. Cropping off a slice on the right hand side would balance the composition better, and complete the "natural" framing. Another option would've been to take a few steps to the left, placing the pole more to the right, and captureing a tad more of the foliage on the left. A very good "see through".

Cheers,

Hugo

Rog... just wonderful ignore that silly comment below about the pole..this is perfect. Why? for me you have all the things arranged in exactly the right spot, the right place, the right time, the right eye, the right set of sensitivities. The pole mars the perfection of the scene beyond reminding us that wherever perfection is percieved by one mind another will remind us that perfection is always a step away...mate my first 7 in a long time. Only one question nags me ...why do you take the dog for a walk in the car grasshopper?

Zsolt Radákovits   {K:7763} 5/26/2004
It's unreal!!!

). I prefer your version. The contrast is very important in your pic. Oh i have just found the 0736 ). nice title idea!
Congrats, Radák
