phil, wow, what a landscape!! this area must be a goldmine for a landscape photographer. i see from your portfolio that it is a goldmine for you. which brings me to my hitherto internal question: why has this photo not received a single comment?? sometimes i think that landscape photography is not quite as appreciated as B&W street photography. i guess a beatiful scene doesn't tug at your heartstrings as much as a homeless person. ok, i'm being a bit sarcastic ;^) just a bit...
as to the photo: i love the composition and the blend of colors and texture. only thing that bugs me is the grain. is this on purpose? or is it induced by the scanner? i shoot digital so i'm not familiar with scanner quirks. nevertheless an excellent photo!

Thanks! The grain is mostly scanner-induced - I don't bother scanning at a high resolution to save file space and also prevent theft! :)

a fine view of the summit to be. nothing beats looking down and out from the top. Is the nipple on the top a Cairn?

Thanks for all your comments! It used to be a massive 7m high cairn/shelter; it's now only about 2m high and hollow inside so you can climb in for some shelter! :)
