Magan, I like this shot, great tones, a wonerful children portrait, I even like the way that you sign your name, very classic. Cheers, James

Great portrait, simple and great.

Mikael Leijon   {K:1994} 6/2/2004
Nice portrait with great tones and expression on the boy. Is it possible to make his eyes a little lighter. I think that would enhance the image..

Regards,
/Mikael

Thanks Mikael. Great suggestion about the eyes! Something I didn't even notice but it improved the shot so much. Shoot! I already ordered a large metallic print of it yesterday! Oh well, I'll have to get another one because now it's soo much better. Thanks again.

What I like most about this shot is the tonality and the simpleness in composition. Strong in hand on ball, etc... Less is more. As well I like the DOF of the longer lense - you didn't give exact details, but I'm assuming you were pretty far back -- Well done. Kind Regards, Cindi

This is really fine. The dead-center placement of the ball is just perfect - it suggests that the ball is what really runs the show in this relationship :-)

Great shot, Megan. I feel like I know this boy very well after looking at your work for just few seconds. His emotions and tension are overflowing the photograph.

Superb lighting.

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 6/29/2004
Fantastic expression in the kids face. I'm not sure he's "lovin' it" but he sure is immersed and totally focused on something.

Maybe he's playing QB and the biggest kid in the class is coming to sack him??? :-)

Just kidding! The expression and the passion with which he is holding that "football" really make this shot for me, tell a story about a feeling.
