About Yes you read the title correctly. It was that cold I had to turn to take a breath.. turn into the wind and shoot.. then turn back around and breath again..

Beautiful scene. Lots of interesting elements, and great color. Excellent exposure and composition.

Wow! I had to get a blanket to view this outstanding photo Terry! Such a great composition . The colors are so very nice and that green light just makes this so good along with the brilliant sky! My best to You,JOHN

Armen Jamkotchian   {K:5879} 6/8/2004
Excellent lighting. Usually it is hard to get even lighting of the objects against the sunset, but this one is perfectly done. I like the cotradiction of the warm sunset and the cold lighting of the lighthouse surrounded by the snow. And the ocean color is very dramatic.
I can see you like photographing lighthouses. If you get a chance, please check the one in my portfolio.
Regards - Armen

Wonderful shot Terry...the colors are extraordinary...you have a lot of heart to get out in weather that cold...your efforts truly paid off. Adding this to my favorites. Also thank you for your comment on my umbrella photo...Gloria

Great shot....but there is NO WAY you will catch me out in -45 degree weather. I will leave that to you crazy Canadians! :O) Lou

A superb image and lighting

Roger Williams   {K:82213} 6/10/2004
It's that green light that makes this one for me. I don't care if the sun had to be a bit too bright, or the shadows a bit darker than you might have liked. That one spot of alien colour makes it--perfect. I've never experienced -45C... and never want to. You're welcome to it!

Jeff Balesdent   {K:755} 6/17/2004
HOLY CRAP!!! Why didn't I see this before? Wow Terry! what a shot man. I went out @ 5 am the other day and did some sunrise shots, hoping to get something like this... no luck for me. Maybe next time. I LOVE the colors Terry. Peggy's Cove.... A DEFFINET stop for any photograper, serious or hobbyist, YOU ALL MUST GO. The rocks, the boats, the lighthouse as you can see in this breath-taking image, and even the little cafe they have on the shore has some real good local seafood. Anyway, Terry. Frickin' Beautful man. Didn't even see this one for a while. Am now VERY glad I did.
10 out 7 man. Great Job.
-Jeff
