outstanding, what colour, would a little fill flash make it better or would you loose the the light colour on the coral??

Phillip Cohen   {K:9528} 8/19/2001
I didn't have a flash with me as I was only snorkeling and it was hard enough to manage a camera while trying to stay down. I am kind of like a cork. Had I used a flash the true colors would have come out, being more of a redish purple color I think. The color that I got looks kind of nice and soothing, kind of a slate blue. It would definitely changed the look of the picture though with no shadows.

I like the mood the colors create in this Phil...hard to imagine this is only 10 feet...the coral looks like cabbage

Your photography fascinates me. I just love to see, sea, life. Fascinating.

Suppose you could have used a flash to open up the shadows but it would've taken an awfully light touch to avoid destroying the beeeeeyootiful tones/light - you're absolutely right, soothing is definitely the proper adjective here~
