About Playing in PS again..for some reason the song came to mind by U2..I thought of all the fighting in Iraq, and what a terrible shape this world has gotten into.

This is terrific. the tones and angle are so dramatic. The way that one cloud hovers over the church casting doom. Title is perfect.

Great shot and a great title Rebecca. It was the title that attracted me in the first place and then when i read what you had written it made me think! Yes, it is a strange world - lets hope and each do our little bit to make it a better place. Very nice, moving photo.
Best wishes - neil

Whatever you did in PS was certainly successful. This has terrific emotional impact. A clear winner. Even if it wasn't taken with a Yashica.

I like this angle for shooting tall structures. Keep up the good work. Do you like the new camera Rebecca?

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26655} 6/13/2004
So far, Dirck, I love it! I'm still learning new tricks every day. I found that an old pair of Yashikor Aux lenses that I had with Yahica electro 35 Rangefinder, fit it perfectly.. so I was already equipped with a telephoto and telewide extender! I have the luck of an Irishman some days! Thanks for the comment and for asking :)

Ann Texter   {K:10058} 6/15/2004

The starkness of this photo is ominous. It has a timeless quality to it....and it DOES cause one to reflect on the complex situations that exist around the world. I like this image..you have a really good eye, Rebecca.

As far as the politics of the world....I seriously doubt that Bono's self promotion, and pompous transparency has the weight to carry ANY soldiers jockstrap. I, like most, pray for peace. I wish that some of these egotists would just ROCK, and not confuse a real peace process with toking a joint, then getting on their soapbox.
