About	This is a field near my home that is suddenly full of poppies. The spectacle is overpowering but it's immensely difficult to capture the spleandour with a camera. Despite taking tens of wide angle images, this closeup is my favourite. I like the gradation of colour and the red haze that intimates the extent of the poppies. The single grass stem is a nice foil to the overpowering roundness of the poppies.
