Location City -  College Park
State -  MARYLAND
Country - United States   United States
About I had to take my daughter to College Park last Saturday, and of course, schlepped my camera along for the ride back.

This pattern is part of a very long mural on the side of the South Seas restaurant, a Chinese food favorite in College Park, and one of the few Chinese restaurants in the world that doesn't have "Golden" or "Dragon" in its name :-)

The mural is in several sections, each with a different theme. This image shows part of a Maryland state flag, which contains the family crests of the Calvert and Crossland families (see http://www.50states.com/flag/mdflag.htm )

I photographed parts of this wall last October with my point-and-shoot digital camera, and I wanted to come back and shoot some more with my Digital Rebel. More photos of this wall to come...

excellent color coupling and photographic eye here; I like the light too; I doubt about the white triangle on the base of the shot which could not be convincing, speaking in composition, don't know

Neat abstract. Reminds me of Mondrian ... well seen and captured!

Thanks, for your kind comments, Antonio and Deb.

Deb - I'm glad to have found your portfolio - hadn't seen it yet. Yes, the Maryland flag, although quite old, really holds up well in terms of graphic design! (see attached image)

Nice abstract work with strong colours and really good light.

The pipe down the center adds a realy nice 3D effect.

Look forward to seeing more photos of this wall in your 'folio!
