Lot of cranes there. Excellent capture and work.

Deb Mayes   {K:19605} 6/15/2004
Terrific composition with all the cranes there ... you could probably shoot the same area for days and come away with a ton of different compositions. Love the PS work as well. Creative and well done!

I like this composition with all those lines. It's too bad that the sky isn't blue, as it would give a great feflection on the water. Keep up the good work.
Look at my portfolio

Mário Sousa   {K:16985} 6/15/2004

ottimo gioco geometrico per un'interessante composizione!
ciao donato

Peter    {K:4365} 6/15/2004
Amazing photograph - a real study in line and form. The destaturation works very well here in muting the colours somewhat and creating an industrial harmony. Regards :)

Jeff Cartwright   {K:52046} 6/15/2004

Rawabi Al-Nuaimi   {K:15659} 6/16/2004
i like the tones and desturation.. at first I didn't understand the composition but finally i got it.. nice :)

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27380} 6/16/2004
Very well done Maria. The desaturation gives it a 'Lego' or 'Construx' quality. The gray sky and silver water add to the effect. Great lines and positioning.

Salvo Valenti   {K:17026} 6/16/2004
stupenda verticalizzazione una foto originale ciao salvo

Preciosa imagen. Parece un bosque artificial

Robert Currie   {K:3241} 6/16/2004
Super picture, Maria. It shows how bland and uninteresting our ports have become compared to the time before containers. I remember when you could see all the different cargo that was loaded and off-loaded. I like the effect you got with desaturation. Roberto

Tim  Schumm   {K:28854} 6/16/2004
love your composition Maria. Desaturated makes it all the more industrial. A real Metal feeling

B:)liana    {K:30945} 6/16/2004

Nando Mondino   {K:14016} 6/17/2004
Wonderful image ! Hola Maria:-)

Thilo Bayer   {K:50355} 6/17/2004
I love ports, Maria. They have a lot of potential for photographers. In this picture, I like the widescreen format and the desaturated colors. There is some snychronity in the composing (with the white constructions on the foreground) and some dynamics with the different coloured cranes in the background. Would love to see the picture with more water and less sky. Perhaps you may achieve some more reflections in the water. Just an idea ;-)

great shot! cheers, thilo

Murilo Rafael de Souza   {K:19577} 6/17/2004
Great view of this Port Maria! Very interesting and right work in PS! Regards!

Emgy Massidda   {K:60226} 6/17/2004
hi, maria jose, great shot of Valencia's port, beautiful soft colours and a very nice composition. i like the amount of desaturation you used here.excellent choice.
great work.
thanks so much for caring, i'm ok now. still on pain killers all day though, and very frustrated cause i have my right shoulder, shoulder blade and arm broken and i can't do a thing with my left hand, not even type properly, let alone shooting. it will take a while before I am fully functional again on uf. meanwhile i will be sitting here admiring your new posts and i plan to soon be writing comments again even if i will be slow.

hugs - emgy

Dale Ann Cubbage   {K:9755} 6/18/2004
This would make a nice postcard! But I think I like the vibrant color of the pano better! Lovely shot, still!

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 6/18/2004
Very creative Maria & wonderful mix between red color & B&W. Cheers.

Hermen Pen   {K:9117} 6/19/2004
Well composed image, the desaturation gives an interesting effect. What are these white structures in the front, are they also cranes?

John Chiu   {K:6250} 6/19/2004
Busy port. Nice treatment on the tones.

Maria José Barres   {K:11276} 6/19/2004
Hi Hermen. Thank you for your comment! These white structures in the front aren't cranes...they are.."a bridge". The two part go down for to join. By the bidge, it goes a merchandise train. My best.

Regina Rianelli   {K:24147} 6/20/2004
Excelente trabajo, Maria Jose'!!!

Paz,
Regina

Hola Maria Jose,

Tremenda foto. La composicion es excelente y la definición de la fotografia es estupenda. Creo que se la debes vender a la compañia de puertos.

Felicitaciones,

Be seeing you...

Raamses.
