This is beautiful Patrick! The mist created by the long exposure forms around the reeds perfectly and gives a calm, mystical feel. The foreground rocks are perfect for interest and give leading lines into the backgrounds gorgeous colours. Well done indeed - I love it. Did you have to light the rocks in any way? Great work - congrats.

Thank you Heifetz and Daniel for your nice comments. To answer your question Daniel. No light on the rocks but I had to use a 2 stop ND Filter to compensate from the strong light of the sunset.

I live in the area and have yet to visit this place. laval is so close and yet I have yet to feel this magesty. After seeing this I am going tomorrow to have a wonderous look I am sure. I am so glad that this has editor's choice... it is an instant favoirte as soon as I opened it up. The detail in the foreground rocks works so nicely with the long exposure treatment of the water, juxtaposing hard rock with fog-like water. The reeds sticking up really catch my eye and add a nice sense of depth.
Thanks for sharing such an impressive shot.
