Hi Maria,
I like this one better. This is a complete shot, as opposed to the first. the first shows a small portion of wood, which, combined with the bend in the bamboo, brings the composition out of balance a bit.

Hi Maria,
I'm traditional in my view of things and gravitate to this one as my eye has a path to follow. The other photo does not have a focus for my eye and so I don't find it as interesting. I like the mood of this image as I can feel the wetness from the past shower. One thing I noticed is that your Depth of Field is very shallow. Your shutter speed is 1/500 and "F-stop" @2.8. You could lower the shutter speed down to 1/125 and had a higher "F-stop" then more of your photo would be in focus.

just wanted to take a look at the first installment, but it seems that you removedit =)
I like the way of the path leading the eye to the horizon. Maybe a camera point a tad higher would strenghten that idea. composing is well done! Take care, Thilo
