Ma. Luisa

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18598} 6/28/2004
The sepia mood with such clouds had added a great deal of mystery & drama to the image. Very creative and brilliant work Maria. BTW I still can see the big bear in the clouds. :) Cheers.

Terrific image, and I'm very glad to have seen it - the amount of detail is amazing, and the way you've handled it, it feels more like seeing the real thing than a model. :)

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27338} 6/29/2004
Wow Maria, great work, the addition of the clouds completely disguises this as a scale model. It looks real and life size. Supeb detail and tones.

Muy espectacular y genial la transformación

Robert Currie   {K:3241} 6/29/2004
Very interesting subject, and I like the PS work, but I think you cropped a bit too much off the left, because the bow of the ship would have clarified the image. I wonder how many slaves were used to power this ship?

Regards, Roberto

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47543} 6/29/2004
Great candid image, if you did not up load the colour one, it is hard to imagine this was a model, great work, Saeed

Rob Ernsting   {K:8946} 6/29/2004
Thank you Maria for showing us some secrets of the Spanish Shipbuilding Industry ) No kidding, the information is really interesting as it shows a way of repetition in building. The monochrome adds to the vintage of the miniature. Groetjes, Rob.

Riny  Koopman   {K:19998} 6/29/2004
Very intresting work Maria,
Best regards,

Guy Dube   {K:6932} 6/29/2004
Very nice picture. You gave an another dimension to the model. In this way, it is big, with the sky in the back, it is bigger. And I want to thank you for your critics for my pictures.

Wonderful experimentation! It would have been nice of course to see the full length of the ship, but I understand that this crop might have been called for due to the limits of the superimposed cloud image (that might have been fixable with a PS resize, or using a different cloud photograph however). The light on the buildings also feel a little flat given the lighting on the clouds giving this a slightly unreal quality and I can't see this as anything other than a scale image. Nether-the-less, I like what you are doing and look forward to more. Regards. :)

Gregory McLemore   {K:25301} 6/29/2004
Lovely tones and surreal beauty captured.

Dr. Rafael Springmann   {K:86479} 7/1/2004
Exellent photo, musy have taken courage to take it secretly. Is it a model of the place in which the famous Armada was built?
Thanks for your warm comment on my "A mute prayer".
Saludas,
Rafi

Maria José Barres   {K:11276} 7/1/2004
Hello Rafi:
The Invincible Navy was constructed in many shipyards from Spain because Felipe II was in a hurry to attack England (he was gotten upset because Queen of England, Elizabeth I, had refused him the supply of wedding).
Shalom.

Ciprian Ilie   {K:13215} 7/1/2004

Ciprian
