About My friend Matsukawa San took me to his old university campus, and I took a panorama of the greenery. He's on the right, checking his D70. I'm still in the learning phase with this camera!

Just great, Roger ~ and it's even got a D70 in it!! Your friend's got excellent taste!! :>)
I really like the curve of the walkway in this shot and the exceptional clarity of the foliage! A top notch job as always.
Kind regards, Chris

Williams San, Very Good !!! It was so shiny day but the representation of shadow and hi-light is wonderful. Thanks for taking the photo of me. 180 degree ? Regards, Koichi

interesting angles as usual....fun camera and I am enjoying seeing what you create... I think the sun is a bit harsh in this but beautiful as usual

Hi, Des! (Des? OK??) Years ago I heard that panorama lovers with rotary cameras should avoid bright sunny days and look for brightish overcast days. Now I know why from experience. 180- or 220-degree shots can pull it off with sunshine strong (witness that shot of St. Mark's) but otherwise, and particularly for 360-degree shots, the changing angle produces high contrast images in one direction or another. [sigh] Thanks as always for your comments.

Roger...tell me...what would that camera do if you tried to take a picture of a rainbow..I bet that would be cool....

Roger Williams   {K:84106} 7/1/2004
I've never encountered a rainbow with a camera in my hand, and it's getting kinda late in my life to think it's gonna happen any time soon. If I did, I guess the distinctive rainbow arch would be scrunched up into a sharper form, which would look more "odd" than "cool," I fear.

Roger...I think it would be fun to see...non the less...LOL... smiles..

fantastic view and an equal DOF throughout I see. Would be better to see it on a larger screensize and pixel width. Regards, Rob.

Hi Roger, I didn't make it across to see your friend this last trip, but I'll be there again in a few weeks time. I will make the effort to get over and make a call.

I'm enjoying these images with the new super pano - really special.

That's funny, Keith, as I just got an E-mail from him (nothing personal, just a regular newsletter) and thought it might be because you jogged his memory. He's a great guy! You'll enjoy meeting him, I think... He is doing good work there.

Thanks, Chris. This was a new one for me, so I'm most grateful. They look a bit odd as "photographs" but they work very well using a VR plug-in... Since my arthritis was healed I've been wanting to get up into the mountaings again. Maybe one weekend before too long... The Swiss panoramas were an encouragement.
