About I have asked Christine and Amna about their successful pictures of the moon and both of them told me that they have used a flash so here is my 2nd attempt with a flash this time. Your comments are welcomed and thanks to both Amna and Christine for giving me some hints. Cheers.

This Moon?s perigeo is really great...

I can?t understand how flash can help here..
Very well presented, as usual, Ozjan!

Wonderful "Window"!
Great work Ozjan.
Cheers.

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 7/3/2004
Yes my dear Carmem, I guess the flash have made a change. If you look at my "Full Moon Shot" witch I did not use a flash, you would notice a glow around the moon. In this one when I have used the flash, there is not glow around the moon. I guess it made a difference. Cheers.

This is lovely and I really like how you framed this... I love how people here help one another - it has been the best place to learn new things and see how others would do something different. Excellent shot...

Lovely...and your framing is simply beautiful...perfect presentation...Gloria

The moon she howled like a cool portrait.....

Rawabi Al-Nuaimi   {K:15659} 7/3/2004
very nice shot.. a little overexposed.. try darkening it a bit to show off the little dark details in the moon.. :)

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47727} 7/3/2004
Last night, I had some shots of the full moon, by the way it is so near and bright almost like the sun, I did more 50 shots with 3 Cameras, Nikon D100,Canon 10D both with 300mm,and hp fix lens, I've tried different figures, but I was disappointed with the results of the Nikon and the Canon due to the effective focal length. I was happy with the hp fix lens though.
With your image, to me you if you did reduce the EV you can manage to get more moon details. though a nice try. Saeed

I say in one words to you...EXCELLENT
rINY

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 7/3/2004
Thanks a lot Saeed! The hint about reducing my exposure is very helpful indeed but wanted to ask you at what level should I go -0.3 EV or -0.7 EV. In this shot I was at 0 EV. Cheers my friend.

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27380} 7/3/2004
Wonderful capture Ozjan. The moon has a very soft romantic glow emphazied with the hazy background. Your framing is perfect as always.

Jeff Cartwright   {K:52046} 7/3/2004
Hi!...Ozjan: Beautiful Creative Shot of the Moon!..However I dought if Using the Flash had any effect other than to Reflect back Light from the Immediate Air..Also the Camera Shutter Speed would be only 1/60 sec ...allowing for Camera Shake!....Having Said All ot This!....Excellent Picture, Ozjan!!!
Jeff.

Ursula Luschnig   {K:21932} 7/3/2004
Beautiful...full moon always is a wonderful object.
Regards,Ursula

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 7/3/2004
Thanks Jeff and your doubts now are making me confused because I have used no flash in my previous "Full Moon" picture and I had a glow around the moon but your hint about the shutter speed will be a very helpful information in my next attempts. Cheers and thanks for your valid information. I really appreciate your comment and hint a lot.

Carolyn Wiesbrock   {K:14051} 7/3/2004

Hi Ozjan...It seems we all capturing the moon ;-) I posted my second try today (please have a look at it) . I discoverd it looks much better without flash ;-) . Practise alot and use different sittings with the manual mood on, use tripod, try different aperture and shutter speed. very good!

Stephen Bowden   {K:64540} 7/3/2004
Hi Ozjan,
Regina asked me to come and visit ;-)
Personally I would never use flash for taking photos of the moon as it will "washout" most of the detail.
Easiest way to capture it (with lots of detail) is using a tripod and open the shutter for at least half a second - longer if it is not a full moon.
Hope this helps :-)
Steve

Glad Steve helped... as i said he is a very generous person and always shares his knowledge with people that asks his help, as i did...
i took the liberty to e-mail him and asked that he looked after You in this Moon procedure, as his Moon photos comes out sooo wonderfully clear as we are in a Planetarium to observe it!!!

very nice image....

but don't like the frame that much.. flash? that should not effect it except it may fool the camera into a different exposure setting

P. Christine Skinner   {K:27380} 7/4/2004
Well I guess the professional concensus is to not use a flash for moon shots Ozjan. Oh well, I was experimenting with my external Speedlite and I rather liked the outcome of the orange glow to my moon as I love the soft glow yours has. It would not be nearly as romantic and incandescent if all the bumps and craters stood out.

Patty Morena   {K:16598} 7/4/2004
Very nice shot.
Love this Ozjan, very romantic to me for some reason.
Congrats

Maria Luisa Vial   {K:36017} 7/6/2004
