Hi Chris; no doubt a tough shot to make and you did it well. An excellent action shot. As I looked at this, I saw another photo within it, ie just the bird in flight-- it's cool the way the end feathers of the wings curve up showing the action/flight. Nice work. Cheers. Craig

I'm very very impressed by the way the Nikon stopped the action. Must have been a nice bright day. I'll have to try continuous focus mode, looks like theres some really tricky techniques to master though.

Chris, great stuff! I am so pleased to see you enjoy the D70 so much - and most of all, sharing what you are learning in the process!
I sneaked into a photographic shop over the weekend. Though no stock at present, I did get a price - 15 000 South African Rands. Not bad, considering ... But that of course is just the basic camera with no added lenses, etc. Robert didn't go too pale when I mentioned the price! :-))

Chris, it looks as if the D70 and you were made for each other. This is a great example! I really look forward to seeing how you use all those automatic and computerized features. Meanwhile I'll just plug along with manual RFs and film... (Well, for what I do, it's probably enough. A D70 would be overkill.) Of course D70s don't do 360-degree panoramas!!!
