About Shot in b&w mode with a red 25a filter. Equalized in PS, which added noise, but also enhanced the wood in the fence.

Wonderful image and perspective !!
I Think that I prefer it more clearer..

Cheers

I love the texture created by the noise. It adds dimension IMHO as I am a texture freak. Creative, fantastic tone and so beautifully simplistic. Love that you kept that knot hole on the right. Oh and excellent framing as well, finishes it off, without it it may have hung there.

Excellent composition!...like the cloud definition and even the grain there, but to my eye the lighting is flat on the fence..Paint Pro8 has a clarify tool which would improve that, but don't know what it is called in photoshop...love the knot hole,too..gayle

I had several shots..was just sitting there in the truck while Putz was in the store. Here's a small one that I didn't equalize. See if you like it better.

Love the noise/grain and the texture of the whole image - the angle of the fence slats adds so much...well done. K

I think this is really exciting. It never occurred to me before to use colored filters with a digital camera in black and white mode and expect the results to be like those with panchromatic film. Now I can't wait for the sun to come up. I'm going to have to try this. Great idea! Oh yes, and a great picture too. Although I think I like the little one better.

Wow ..... I can make two different views from this shot. One is the way it was shot looking up and the other is looking from the other side looking down, the pickets would look like open vertical blinds ..mmmm I should stop now before people start thinking I'm on something.......
Great shot....

Rebecca, I like the one you put in comments. I think it is great and wondeful b&w shot. I really like the strong constrast between the solf billowy clouds and the natural texture of the fence boards and tree.
