Hi Roby, I guess I was wrong... And I'm glad I am! Well converted to B&W, and I like this backlit composition, casting some dramatic shadows over the early spring landscape. Compared to the original one, (http://www.usefilm.com/image/436309.html, isn't it?) I think this one does the actual scene more justice. The frame is much better too... ) Good one!

Hi Roby, I guess I was mistaken, and I'm glad I am....) I like the B&W version of the one you posed a while ago. I think it does the photo justice, with its backlighting and the dramatic shadows it casts. I also like the framing better than in the previous one... Good job!

Composition and light is marvelous Roberto. The only thing i would like to change is the sharpening. I think it has been a bit oversharpened. See the halo around the thin bracnhes of the big tree? Did you use Unsharp Mask?

Ma come, mi vai ad Ibiza e mi posti il lago di Ghirla in B/N??????? A parte le battute, ben tornato!!!! La foto l'avevo già apprezzata a colori, bella anche così, solo che trovo un eccesso di maschera di contrasto, vedi gli effetti sui rami? Secondo me, basta applicarla leggermente, giusto per accentuare un po' l'immagine, altrimenti si introducono degli artefatti che risultano del tutto innaturali. Passo ad altro... ma vieni a Bologna? sei riuscito a far trasparire l'atmsfera di quel luogo attraverso la foto. La sento. Sento l'aria pungente (del primo mattino?) ed il silenzio del luogo. Mi piace anche il ramo spezzato. Dà un tocco di decadenza all'immagine, niente male.

I love what you have done with this shot Roberto. PS is great. I like the feel of winter that comes from this photograph. The lines of the shadow and the mirrored water give a lot of focal interest but I think what makes this photograph work for me is the light comming through the limbs of the tree make it look like its on fire. I looked at the color version and although it is a great shot in its own right I like this one better.
