Angle 2 of the same experience. Like the lines, but the depth of focus was a bit less than I'd like to. As in the first sample, handheld, wide open (f4 of a 70~210 Canon FD zoom). It was also scanned directly from the negative.
That's (they way the eyes scan it) one of the interesting characteristics of this image. It goes against the "usual" way we're used to on reading (left - right, top - bottom).
So you bought a new camera! Reneewd your license to dare ;-) Nice great images are on the way, for sure. Congratulations!
You allready pointed out what i would have done...Nice lines but a bit more DoF woudl be nice. Part from that, i noteice how my eye walks in a stranga way over this picture. It goes from the lower right corner, obvioulsy follows teh line of teh shoulder, then it turns down wards to the lower left corner, where the shadows begins. I guess this is beacuse the lack of focus on the hair. Anyway, the light is wonderfull as always. The contrst between teh body and the background is lovely.
