About One of our imature cooper's hawks having a meal which is mostly hidden in this frame. I like the pose caught here.

Great sharpness, and yes, a neat pose. Well caught!

Robert,
Excellent image, composition, detail and color are all right on.
One can only wonder what the bird is looking at, or ready to pounce on, or is that swoop down on?
Great Work!
Reguards,
Ray

Ray, The hawk is devouring a meal and is keeping an eye out for the syblings that would try and take it if given a chance. It's prey is mostly hidden in this photo by the branch it's perched on but other photos taken at this time show it more clearly. This was the best pose I thought.

Just beautiful. The angle of view, detail in the shadows make a wonderful photograph. One of your best. Don.
