About Symbol of Expo 67 in Montreal, the sphere designed by visionary architect Buckminster Fuller has an important place in the history of contemporary architecture. The largest building of its kind in the world, its structure reproduces more than 75% of a sphere.

Taken in Ste-Helen's Island in Montreal,Quebec,Canada. Love what that long exposure created, a great sense of movement in the clouds. Looks like it is from a scene out of a Science Fiction Movie.

Beautifully captured.

The lighting works so well to bring out the details of the triangles/diamonds/octagons

rende grande senso dinamico la costruzione moderna e il movimento delle nuvole dovuto alla lunga esposizione
colori ottimi

I like the colors and the effect of the sky - I have a feeling that the biosphere is moving, however I wish it was more straighten and the left part of the pisture distracts me a little bit;
regards

Great shot, so many different lights/darks, the see through quality of the sphere, dark sky, well just a bit like sci fi movie. Brilliant composition

Pat,

You never disappoint...

Barry Wakelin   {K:7838} 7/15/2004
Great image, Pat, I agree that the clouds set the foreground off perfectly. This is one image that could actually work with some different coloured lights but it works just as well with a white light.

Enjoy    {K:16125} 7/16/2004
Excellent..

Roberto Lucignani   {K:791} 7/19/2004
Great image, the clouds effect is great, they seems to be moving very fast. the sphere is very impressive. Great details and colors.

Your 'About' only misses one fact... being that is was the 'US of A' Pavillion... and after suffering a flash fire destroying the acylic sheets, it was converted as you say!

Superbly captured!
