Anne Knes   {K:44153} 7/18/2004
felicitaciones .anne...

Bradley Prue   {K:30294} 7/18/2004
Awesome sense of perspective. A timeless shot, that is so interesting that I find myself reading it like a book. .>Brad

today they'll arrest you for it as a 'terrorist suspect'
:)

Aira Manna   {K:11201} 7/18/2004
very cool one!
there's something i really like about this un-ordered set of diners....keep on wondering about the story behind those eating at single table.
excellent

Gabriella Carta   {K:22808} 7/18/2004
very good shot, well done. Regards by Gabry

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/18/2004
Dear Aira,

You mentioned the unordered tables. that's something that caused me to actually make the image ;-) So thumbs up for your perception.

Take take, Thilo

Pedro Libório   {K:53855} 7/18/2004
I love it...
the colour balance used is special indeed!
regards my friend!
I would go rather to "Beneth your feeth"

Erik Neldner   {K:10896} 7/18/2004
I always appreciate when humans are reduced to their geometric core. Humans, rocks, buildings, patterns; it puts us in our place in the universe. Nice sepia effect.

Roberto Arcari Farinetti   {K:176321} 7/18/2004
magnific in all..
a fantastic pont of view and gorgeous tones for a magnific final effect!

Kevin Collier   {K:19076} 7/18/2004
That is excellemt...love the tones and comp// K

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 7/18/2004
Thilo,

Excellent work. I like the little details, the empty tables, the ones with single occupancy, some have more people, a couple of bags are sitting comfortably etc.

I also applaud you for resisting the temptation of a PS rotation to get some horizontals!!! :-)

Good shot!

stefan botez   {K:-278} 7/18/2004
mmmm I wanted to do a shot exactly like this I never had the good light...great image BRAVO!

Carmem A. Busko   {K:48763} 7/19/2004
Wow!
Stunning, Thylo!
To my favorites!
(Thank you for your comment.. but that is a lake, called river.. not sea..)
Cheers,
Carmem

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/19/2004
Dear Pedro,

"beneath your feet" would be actually a great alternative ;-) Thx for your comments!

Thilo

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/19/2004
Dear Erik,

thanks for your great comment. That's exactly what I try to express.

As for sepia: it may look like sepia but actually it's done by color balance.

Thx, Thilo

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/19/2004
Dear Roby,

thanks for your kind words. Too much honor for me ;-)

Take care, Thilo

Uwe Bachmann   {K:10222} 7/19/2004

vg, uwe

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/19/2004
Dear Angelo,

LOL about the horizontal comment. You cannot see it but I transformed the image and changed the geometry a lot ;-)

Thilo

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/19/2004
Dear Carmem,

it's an honor to be part of your favorites. thanks!

as for the sea/lake confusion: sorry about that ;-) actually, in Germany "See" means "Lake" and "Meer" means "Sea". So it's quite confusing for us to distinguish between the two words. Hope you don't mind =)

Cheers, Thilo

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/19/2004
Hi Uwe,

Roberto Arcari Farinetti   {K:176321} 7/19/2004

Thilo, please...please stop posting such good work, the rest of us just can't keep up with you! :)
Seriously these are great (all of your latest postings). My compliments and best wishes, thanks also so much for encouragement to me.
Neil

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/19/2004
Dear Neil,

definitely too much honor for a beginner like me. Your work is just great and needs no encouragements ;-) But this won't stop me from commenting your pictures anyway =)

Cheers, Thilo

Carlheinz Bayer   {K:14220} 7/19/2004

Excellent!!!!

Hugo de Wolf   {K:184670} 7/19/2004
Hi Thilo, Excellent shot, very original, and I love this perspective. The project, above your head is a bit ambiguously chosen, as these people are obviously below your feet....;o) But then again, you are abour their heads... Interesting angle, and a well composed shot. Simple, but very effective! My compliments...)

Cheers,

Hugo

Enjoy    {K:16125} 7/20/2004
Great capture and I love the texture to it and the tone...well done well done...

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 7/20/2004
Dear Hugo,

thx for your kind words. pedro also voted for "above your head". I think both projects would fit, it's just a matter of viewpoint. ;-)

Take care, Thilo

Ursula Luschnig   {K:21869} 7/20/2004

This looks like a painting. Lovely.

Gayle's Eclectic Photos   {K:91033} 7/22/2004
This reminds me of one of the larger Starbucks espresso cafes in Seattle...even the color balance says latte to me!..LOL..perspective is great and i like the various configurations of seating/people..well seen/executed,Thilo..regards,gayle

Fadel J   {K:13479} 7/23/2004
Great image! The perspective and toning are brilliant!
