About I came across this field completely by accident. The sun was low in the sky to the right and the red poppies seemed to glow out of the sea of white poppies. The poppy heads added a blue element and after some experimentation I decided to try and capture the layers of colour using the 80mm end of my 80-200 lens.

Beautiful, Barry!!
The field wasn't along the A303 somewhere, was it?! Because I saw a very similar array of white and red poppies as I drove back from Gatwick at around 6a.m. this morning!!
Kind regards, Chris

Chris, no this is a field near Hannington, a small village in Hampshire. It's actually one of the highest points in this less than lofty county!

Have you tried double/multiple exposure shot here? If you havent I think you should try and get there again to do that. One exposure with greater deapth and 2nd one with shorter depth... You will a great effect.

Have fun.

Elangs.
