Beautiful, but was the balloon really in this scene? It looks as though it has been added and the lighting on it is throwing up a red flag... as is the white outline of the basket. I would expect the balloon to be even darker as the trees are with the text hardly discernable.

Hi Chris, Outstanding colours and a beautiful detail of the balloon over the setting sun. The strip of treeline below is a bit thin to be effective. I think that either cropping it out, or including more of it would / could benefit the composition. But hey! Can't have it all, can we? Very nice shot!

That's why I put this image in the 'photoart' section, both in terms of UF's own categories and in terms of my own portfolio.
As soon as I loaded it up I realised I made one or two glaring errors, but still think it's a pretty piece of photoart so decided to leave it.

The burning on the balloon is off. When you isolated the balloon you should have enlarged your brush to cover the entire baloon and make complete sweeps across it. This would then give an even burning. As is the burning is heavier in the center than on the edges. This is a tough subject as hot air balloons can be semi transparent and backlighting as you're displaying would create a mix of dark silhoette and a very difficult to reproduce internal glow. Good to see that you're honing your skills. Very nice vision and creativity.

Fabulous image - the dark tones are great! I like how the lighter clouds are almost liked whipped egg white.

PS compiled or no Chris I love this simply for the dramaticism. The swirl of the clouds, the light ring around the balloon and highlight on the basket all appeal to me. Trific!!

Love composition, great eye for putting the two together and making wonderful 'photoart'. In fact it is so good, I have to start talking to you again!!!!!. I know you have got Den 'out of trouble' a couple of times, but your sweet talking doesn't work this time!!!
