About This is the photo that got away and makes me tear up.

In 2002 I had the trip of a lifetime visiting 5 national parks and hiking all over the northwest. Sadly on the last half of the trip my SLR broke. I was able to salvage some photos along the way. I woke up for sunrise every morning where ever we were to capture the magic light on an abundent number of amazing views.

A little background... this trip was inspired after getting a poster of Glacier National park 10 years earlier. I finally made it and I was committed to getting my own spectacular photos. Well I happened to get my shot or so I thought. When I got home and had this developed I was horrified to find that the one shot I wanted most of all was only half there!!! Shot 36 out of 36 was on half of a frame. Well I'm going back to get this shot sometime soon, but for now I share with you half of an amazing view.
Thanks for your comments.

Lovely place and still a good photo even though it is only half, the colour is fantastic, it certainly looks worth a revisit.

If the half is this excellent I cant imagine how great the full shot would be. Well done.

I think it?s perfect just the way it is despite the fact that you only got half the frame, it?s just a tighter crop. Such a beautiful place, thanks for posting it.

Fantastic photography and think that it is only half Frame! I love this kind of landscapes very much, in the place where I live they are not usual .
Thanks fro the comment on my "il faro".

This photo is simply gorgeous Jim. So saturated with color. I love your work and would be honored for you to critique some or even one of my photos.
