Nice portrait with a beautiful reflection!
Greetings.

Wonderful shot, i asm amazed that you have but 1 comment. The only hagup with the shot is the background color tends to mask the bird a bit since the colors are so close to that of the bird. But you and I both know when shooting birds and animals you can't determine the background, you take what you can get. this is NICE

Thanks for viewing and commenting.

Your observation on the close colors is correct. However, there is little choice from the location of the camera. I did as much as possible with the polarizer and some PS post processing. The full size print using the original jpg file, 3M+, looks much better than the 350K USEFILM viewing file.

Aloha ... Luther

Beautiful photo great clarity and color, I love how the birds feathers and the wood he is standing on are of the same color tones. The water behind is unbelivably rich in texture. Thank you for the comment on Magnolia Blossom. Alison

Excellent detail and light. It has an oil painting quality.

Thanks for the comment.

That bird was very cooperative and remined in position for a few minutes, probably doe to his interest in the antics of the turtle and lemur a few feet away.

However, the lighting, color of the bird and background colors created a difficult photo opportunity. Fortunately, the reflection from the pond added another dimension and multiple colors to the photo.

Truly beautiful, a photo I wish I would have taken! I love the composition and how interesting quality the background is!

I'm only a little bit confused with the colours... I have no idea if I'm right or wrong, but isn't it a little extra lilac where it should be whiter? Like on the stone, and the light parts of the birds wings?

Thanks for viewing and commenting on my photos. :

With regard to the unusual colors, I feel that it's do to the time of day, (0840), the bright sun at my back right side and the reflection off a green/brown artificial pond (moat) on the bird and the concrete tree limb in the water. The water in the background was in the shadow of a tree on the island. In addition PS post processing for levels/contrast and USM were utilized for the final product.

The bird was watching the the "Odd Couple" discussing morning events, a few feet away,

Aloha ..... Luther
